I am an IT professional living and working in London UK. I have been in the IT field since 1998. My interest in IT started when I was working at a language school where  I was using database tools to manage student records. Since then, I have designed many database applications using Microsoft Access, VBA, and SQL Server. I have an article published in the SmartAccess monthly newsletter.

In 1998 I did a three month full-time course to become a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and became familiar with system administration of all versions of Windows operating system. I've also worked with messaging and security systems such as Microsoft Exchange and ISA servers.

In time my interest in database design and development stretched to include web development, initially working on intranet applications, and following on from that to publicly accessible websites.

As well as my technical skills, I have extensive management experience in running an IT department. I am currently working as the Head of IT of a not-for-profit organisation.

My other interests include photography and music. I have a number of photographs published in various magazines. I am also currently learning to play the guitar. I am married and I have two sons.
